The camera is (like all offered devices in the consumer sector) very "handy", so small. For my taste, it would like to be a bit bigger, but good. Bought the following additional things: 2 SD card, 1 HDMI cable, 1 battery. When battery I have this time opted for a Panasonic product, since the spare battery the previous camera significantly faster than capacity problems got the original battery. The pity is that the battery needs charging now in the camera. Optionally, there are to buy an external charger.
Commissioning turns out without problems. It is operated mainly by touch screen.
To select the recording quality, there are several Qualitätssufen - interested me so far only the highest with 50p. Everything else can possibly be. Done in the computer. Why should I not exploit the potential of the camera?
Of course, my choice on the capacity of the card has an effect: 8 GB range for 40 minutes at the highest recording quality. Now you can think about to get a (fast) more card you - if this should be once broken, but all shots were lost. So I opted for 2 cards. Normally, I probably will be enough capacity than 80 minutes.
So far I am happy with the camera: the images are fantastic, the sound is perfectly fine as long as there is no wind. The automatic mode is good, with manual settings I have made very little experimenting. In the recording quality selected by me pans are even possible without the image suffering too much. For me interesting because I have among other things purchased the camera for sports photography. The recordings made can still be cut in the camcorder, so you can take advantage of the space of the memory card perfectly. Unbabhängig of one transfers then only usable Filmmateral on the computer.
Are transferred the recordings (photographs and films) by a Panasonic software that comes with the camera. After the files are suitable for further processing.
Here is a brief overview of the notable points for me:
+ Excellent image quality in daylight
+ With the bundled software, no problems in working with my computer
+ Image stabilizer: outstanding, a tripod with fluid head should still be a consideration worth
+ With the included software can be easily transferred to the files the computer (in my case with the operating system WinXP)
+ Socket for external microphone available
+ Photo function: for viewing on the TV well - for everything else, I use a photo camera.
+ Post in the camcorder:'m thrilled that there is this possibility.
+ Accessory shoe is
+ Prepared for 3D images (probably in lower resolution with limited functions), but was not a purchase criterion for me
+ / O touchscreen: more functions via buttons on the device would be desirable, with the menu I came relatively quickly along well
Zoom +/-: lack of remote control zooming during recording is difficult (camera shake)
o Battery excessively
o Lowlight: Well then, better than my previous camera of the same house, but certainly not optimal
o sound is good in itself (camera noise I have not heard -bislang-), but susceptible to wind (even if set in the menu)
o video light is present, ok for an emergency, but does not light the entire image area from (rather Spot Size)
- / O manual is only in short description in printed, the complete version is only available on the supplied DVD / CD
- Viewfinder: None
- No external charger, ie it must be loaded into the camera (when the battery lasts about 2 hours)
- No HDMI cable attached, although the camera has such an output (connected to a Panasonic TV set, the camcorder can then partly via the TV remote control)
- Headphone jack is missing (actually especially regrettable given the external microphone can be controlled manually)
The negatives are mostly known in advance and also exist in cameras other providers - I feel the points mentioned yet as negative.
I vacillate between 4 and 5 star, because of the good value for money but I then struggled through to 5 stars.
