Paul Simon's Best

Graceland (2011 Remaster) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

"Graceland" is no ifs or buts milestone in Paul Simon's solo career and one of the best pop albums ever. Be how naturally and Leichtfüßigkedit widely separated musical worlds connected, defies description, the listener must be possible to endorse of the Vibes. Already the opener "The Boy in the Bubble" has no equal. An abundant slanted accordion intro evolving into a groove in which no foot remains calm. "Graceland" combines African pop with country sounds, while "I Know What I Know" settled rather in the radio corner. "Gumboots" is actually an African pop rhythms, in which Paul Simons chanting acts in no way disturbing. "Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes" begins with an a cappella singing of ingenious combo Ladysmith Black Mambazo and is pop dance rhythms with Afro continued. "You can call me Al" is also located on this tab. "Under African Skies" combines blues vocals with African vocals, while also addressing the origin of the Blues would be revealed. "Homeless" is the most "African" Show Song here Ladysmith Black Mambazo once more what they can. "Crazy Love" continues the Blue Note of "Under African Skies". With "That was your father" leaves Paul Simon Africa and goes directly into the Cajun-Swamps-Zydeco sends his regards. "All Around the World" was ultimately the American / Mexican rock band Los Lobos recorded-Pual Simon has arrived back home. The three bonus tracks are well insights into the creative process of three songs have-really essential they are not.
However, what is the whole writing, this album will be heard and felt especially.
