Other fastening methods lose with this mount their raison d'être. The "sucker" works reliably, even on ground which is completely unsuitable for normal cups. On the heavily textured dashboard of my Smarts my Galaxy S3 is firmly locks. An attachment to the glass pane (is sure no problem) came to me out of the question, so I am completely satisfied with this solution now.
A further aspect for my purchase decision was that the holder is very compact and thereby also still looks very good. The brackets with the red rubber keep the lightweight Galaxy S3 determined very convincing and useful certainly for much heavier mobile phones.
Conclusion: Cheap car mount with many uses due to the innovative new attachment.
