Exactly what I was looking to change my cast iron teapot, which I think gave a bad taste in my tea. With the glass at least I do not have this problem. No need to hold the cover to be used because it is fitted into the teapot, the little brewer has a small handle that can be removed once brewed tea without burning your fingers. Everything is removable for flushing, now I wait to see if the glass is strong enough in time. I recommend anyway to avoid thermal shock because glass is not thicker. The basket down low in the teapot so you can easily make a tea for one person, no need to fill up for the brew. The baskets of the holes are small, so very little residue, this will obviously depend tea. Finally, I personally find it keeps rather well hot.
