This is my first review, so I ask now to some leniency. Been looking for a good compilation of Doris Day - then this is the right place. Even finely separated between hits from her films as Love me or leave me, Pillow Talk and of course the inevitable Que Sera. The other two CDs are called Golden Greats and Classics, in which case no precise distinction should be made. Doris Day interprets this wonderful jazz standards such as Sentimental Journey, Autumn Leaves, Makin 'Whoopee etc. Then again a little swing - always with catchy quality. Individual songs is emphasized almost impossible to neatly tied together the right and where you have no song skip. Nevertheless, my absolute favorite song Move Over Darling. I hear the CDs often in pairs as the perfect accompaniment for an evening. With this collection you can not go wrong. Value for money is perfectly fine. The sound is technically on the current state. And there is no doubt Mrs. Day anyway. Simply interpreted incomparable, knows exactly where to take back the voice and where to get on the other hand let temperament and joie de vivre. If we are to believe the words of Doris Day, then she sang only songs that really wanted to interpret, not managers or record companies. And you can hear that. Just buy it !! Oh, to every song there in the lovingly designed inlay nor information and on top of that thoughts of former Sangeskollegen and friends.
