Very good ...
The build quality is above reproach and the comfort there is also nothing to complain about. The headset is pleasantly light and soft ear pads and padded thick enough so as not to press directly on the ears. Even after a few hours. Continuous operation's were no complaints with me.
Technically I like the separate volume control for voice chat and game audio very well. Useful function for players who in the line 'blocks' or my permanent, I'm interested in the environment or the new music album. The headset has called. Microphone Monitoring, ie you can hear yourself speaking. This causes that you do not automatically speak very loud, what definitely happened otherwise with padded ears. Fellows are therefore, as well as their own spared the sound of the console 'into micro-bellowing ".
Furthermore, there's an adjustment for bass intensity and a micro-mute (also both thoughtful features).
Overall, the sound quality is good-very good and who has only played with television output, will be very pleasantly surprised by the now audible details.
Less witted ... the setting of the stereo Expand function or something like that, anyway, is hereby a kind of surround sound or spatial depth are generated ... more on that later.
All settings can be made to the well-positioned cable remote control.
The current firmware allows the options to listen via multiple channels of PS3 [Multiple Output Enable] so that the TV will continue to be supplied with sound via HDMI and the headset via AV Multi cable via RCA. Alternatively, you can also the Stereo / - headphone output operate on TV. Advantage: the TV will be able to give sound back without the settings of Playsi having to change what for example if you're watching while playing or watching movies together makes sense.. For late-night rounds then just sound on the TV and no one is disturbed.
Ingenious: The headset does not require a power supply !!! The power supply is via the USB port. I had considered digital as an alternative, the Sharkoon X-Tatic, but it costs nearly twice and required 2 (two!) Power supplies separately for converter box and headset. I do not know how about you but as regards my living room, it would be on every cable / power supply unneeded.
But ...
In fact the headset rushes permanently, but in my eyes on a quite tolerable level. Me it rarely hurts, because it is relatively quiet and is no longer perceived in non- intrusive background music. One should only allow the fingers from stereo Expand (or something similar) switches, because then the noise is twice as loud and although the Funtkion brings a different, but in my opinion no better / more spacious sound.
Conclusion ...
By me for the price you wanted a clear recommendation due to the clearly predominant benefits and the price / - performance ratio. Only empflindliche ears interfere in my opinion for the quiet noise level. Who has such ears, better stay away. For all others there's rich sound at a fair price.
