PHENOMENAL Edition of a brilliant album

Exodus (Deluxe Edition) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

This New edition of Exodus is really more than worth the money, even (or especially then) if you own the original already. First time you get on the first CD a clearly better sounding version of the original album enriched with 5 very worth listening bonus tracks (the B-side of 'Roots', and several very good 12 "and dub versions).
However, the actual "Oberhammer" this New Edition is the second CD to the first is a live recording of '77, in the quality really (unbelievable but true) to the '75s live album (in my opinion the Reggae -Live music at all) approach comes and fortunately has no overlap in the song selection with this record. The '78 published live album 'Babylon By Bus' (which per se is also very good, no doubt) is not nearly as impressive as this recording.
But will that was not enough, adds the second Exodus-CD yet with two (12 "and Dub) long versions of" Punky Reggae Party 'and' Keep On Moving 'which Marley then resumed shortly after the release of the album with Lee Perry. Especially 'Punky Reggae Party' is, despite a total of nearly 20 min. length, as simply to call terrific.
Rounding out the whole thing. By a radio commercial for 'Exodus' album, which is at least very entertaining
Whether now 'Exodus' is generally considered the best Marley album can be called at all, be times undecided (I tend as to 'Burnin' or 'Survival' more), one of his most important, especially as the international breakthrough of reggae in general relates to, but it is in any case. Moreover, it is of course by far the best known and most popular Marley album. The very fact that there are on the Legend sampler 5 and on the new One-Love-Sampler 6 tracks on this album underscores the course (popularity has of course often nothing to do with quality, but in this case, I think, already) ,
