Ok, enough blasphemed.
This card was my 2nd choice for a boot disk for my laptop (IDE-CF adapter). The first CF card was just too slow - SSDs with IDE connector are even slower (about 30MB / s) and more expensive.
Positives:
The promised speed is maintained. On my IDE-CF adapter 66MB / s read and 55MB were / s write with UDMA 5 (?) Normal. The card has a good controller that can perform multiple read / write operations. The infamous 'deadlock' (he writes and the system represents the time still) remain thus from largely.
Negatives:
The card can not 'fixed disk' mode and is not suitable for booting systems (unless they support 'removeable' Media as Boot Device).
I had to bend my Windows a driver, so that the system will boot it
Now it must be said that embedded systems - or in my case as a boot drive for a notebook - not the target audience of Sandisk Extreme are and the other reviews also confirmed by the enthusiasm of the other users.
Conclusion:
It works quickly, but remain a Bauchgrummel whether the price and the lack of 'fixed disk' mode.
