It's amazing what sensational albums as easy to pass by the general public. And so this debut album from Austra is that time gone completely to me. FEEL IT BREAK I only came by the second album OLYMPIA, who convinced me right away and so, of course, the curiosity about the first work of Canadians to Katie Stelmanis was piqued. The electronic pop of Austra hovers masterfully between Dance, Darkness and mainstream, big selling point seems The charismatic voice of Katie Stelmanis that are not exceptionally large and well-being, but it gives off a hypnotic spell.

Slightly monotonous and gloomy to DARKEN HER HORSE sneaks into his ears. The structure of the song is awesome, layer by layer are stacked electronic sound bites, and the dramatic music turns into a zestful quite good danceable song, only the celtic acting voice of the singer keeps the slightly menacing traits.

Synthetic Dance-pop music, as we know from the 1980s accompanied the rather loose melody to lose it. You can almost hear a certain gaiety.

Distinctive Piano Loops initiate the legal loose Popsong THE FUTURE. The melody is somehow sweetly and catchy and so the song can convince immediately.

The quite stomping dance Kracher BEAT AND THE PULSE is a real highlight on this disc. Electrifying and travel with you at the same time, the title never goes out of your head. Perfect fit to the sober and supercooled song, which is something only the emotional chorus.

Playful, dreamy and settled somewhat in the trance area resounds spellwork. The necessary ground learns the song by striking bass elements precisely support the vocals. Otherwise, everything seems to be something floating and detached even the horny vocal.

Quite fast and delightfully danceable THE CHOKE is underway. Here, the song seems to increase a single run, the melody is beautiful and makes really good mood.

HATE CRIME offers quite playful even klimprige sound elements and has thereby neatly momentum. The song does not fit more on the subject of the song, the chorus sounds comely, but that does not continue, it still is a successful title.

Legal sober Electronics is carved us at THE VILLAIN around the ears. So the supercooled Dance Sound stomps adamantly and consistently. Through the melody and especially the intense singing but produces an interesting and captivating song.

The continuous piano element in break Style is something to get used to. In SHOOT THE WATER, the sung melody provides a match with this same element. Gradually open the song, yet also has a great site.

THE NOISE hovers with its distinctive electronic sounds somewhere between Mittemposong and ballad. Legal soulful comes over here singing and the melody has a captivating effect.

In the end we still hear the piano but in its pure and dramatic form. It is only an accompanying instrument for dramatic ballad THE BEAST. Breathtaking heights of the voice of Katie Stelmanis. Magnificent though unsual statements.

Unfortunately, unfortunately, perished in the musical cosmos is this brilliant work, in which really all right. Even the packaging and booklet making a good impression, which nowadays is also no longer be taken for granted. All lyrics are printed + a few artful photos (unfortunately none, showing the band clearly) and the design appears harmonious and closed. The only solution is to buy, listen and enjoy.
