I use several APC UPS, which BR1500GI this for many years. I discovered that: 1 - Their batteries are calculated to take during the warranty period, any more: in the European Union and the BR1500GI is 3 years. 2 - After the end of the guarantee, if the battery fails (this is very common) there are chances you can not find replacement battery; one is then forced to replace all the inverter, which is much more expensive. 3 - In France, APC by Schneider Electric is represented (SAV tel: 0825 012 999), a very serious company. Their helpline really works and if a machine (or battery) is out of warranty, they replace it without question, their transport costs. 4 - When replacing the rather large inverters as BR1500GI are included. A first carrier brings the new hardware, then returns (at a date agreed appointment) to resume the old.
In summary, I evaluated this material 3 stars only because a new UPS was delivered with a battery not holding the load for 35% of the time announced by the APC PowerChute software for my case consumption. It had been manufactured there are 6 months storage time in stock that may explain the status of the battery.
