The clearcoat finish is very fingerprint sensitive on both sides, but this fall on the Z-10 more because the creatives have a fabric cover on the front.
Sonically, the T40 II must not hide, despite the price difference. While the Z-10 offer compared something "more" bass, but with a 2.0 system is the rather trivial anyway. Who is really dependent on pitch-black bass which goes always better with a 2.1 system.
As for me, the overall sound quality is decisive, I can confidently recommend the T40 anyone who is looking well after such.
Who needs the display gimmick and a Mac has, can engage without hesitation to the Z-10, both speakers provide plenty of sound for the money.
