Many wonder what a device that is significantly smaller and cheaper compared to the competition, really is able to afford.
I want these questions here now partially clarified and share my subjective impression with you.
The following formats I've tested so far:
DVD RIP AVI 720p
DVIX in 720p
MKV to 720p
MKV 1080p
The only thing I did not pay, if the Dolby Digital or DTS signal light comes on my Soundbar. The subjective perception of the sound but what I call very clearly. Playback of the above mentioned formats completed the unit with flying colors.
The visual layout of the menu is, as might be expected, designed appropriately.
Sound was transmitted via HDMI and the 2.5-inch hard drive that I had formatted by FAT on iMac, was recognized without problems.
What I did not like so much, is that the LED lights up in a very bright blue.
Since the manufacturer wanted to keep the price seems low, there is really absolutely no extra bells and whistles, such as WLAN or an optical sound output. These things are for me but irrelevant and do not detract from the good impression. Overall, I am excited about what this little device is at a relatively low price, able to afford.
