Originally I had the S + (similar price range) in the eye, but in the store design and feel I have put off some. A matter of taste, but the shiny back and chrome plastic is just not mine. Moreover, I imagine, to require a photo light.
Overall, I am using the "W" very pleased: It is nice and light, everything runs fast (occasional half second pauses apart), hangers, I had none at all. The display is crisp sharp with rich colors. For battery life I can say little - on the one hand I miss the comparison to other smartphones, on the other hand it comes with me every night just to the string (and a day keeps it even with intensive use by).
My report is based on the features of the Android version 2.3.6. Overall, I forgive four stars, one star have cost the following "Special":
1) On the camera to me, two points are noticed:
- The attested in some test reports reddish probably refers to artificial light recordings. Here also my camera tends to quite extraordinary "warm" display the images, perhaps the auto white balance is difficult to do.
- Unfortunately, there is no zoom at the highest resolution. If you manually switches to 2 megapixels, it has a minimum (1.6 times) Zoom. Natürich is a digital zoom only a makeshift, but a new snapshot to be sent with Whatsapp, a multiple digital zoom would be nice. For incomprehensible me, other phones in this league can do that.
2.) Surely it is already noticed some users: Samsung has built a bit crap at W and issued a partition from the internal SD memory as "external SD". This means that some programs ask when installing though, whether you're at the "one" internal or "other" internal memory to be stored -. But not on the SD card Especially in Navi solutions with large maps you have to manually create hand therefore.
3.) The dead brightness sensor
When asked me Samsung has confirmed that the brightness sensor is (currently?) Can not be used for brightness control of the display. In Market I could also find no tool that detects the sensor, or can be used.
Nevertheless, I would buy the "W" again, the advantages outweigh, in my view clearly.
