prima camera with small weaknesses

I had the opportunity to test the G3 with the 14-42mm kit lens and the 20mm prime lens. The G3 represents a compromise between DSLR and compact camera.
And as is the case with compromises so, not all desires are fulfilled.
The electronic viewfinder is good, in my opinion, the visual can not replace.
Since no laboratory tests can be carried out by me, addresses specifically the technical evaluation my personal opinion is.
I have followed the development of Panasonic and Olympus EVIL Kamneras over the last 2 years and can say that the image quality
G3 represents the current pinnacle of development.
The image quality in conjunction with the fixed focal length is the hammer and the noise performance is there where you'd expect in a modern camera in this price range - up
ISO1600 is the BQ absolutely great.
I once put together the pros and cons from my perspective.

+ Best image quality especially with the 20mm prime lens
+ Very low noise
+ Generous feature
+ Faster accurate autofocus
+ The operating concept affects thought, you come to a short acclimatization quickly realized with the camera
+ Very useful iA mode
+ Compact dimensions (for a camera with built-in electronic viewfinder)
+ Very useful video quality (Who this is important).
+ Manual focusing works very well
+ There are now a wide range of lenses with absolutely high quality glasses.

But there are also negative criticisms that represent even a step backwards compared to the G2:

- 14-42 kit lens is not the best, sharpness decreases toward the outer edge.
- Proximity sensor has been omitted.
- The battery seems rather underpowered, a replacement battery Original is expensive.
- It can be connected to an external microphone.
- Electronic viewfinder jerky in low light conditions.
- Camera grip has been reduced in size - so that something worse grip.
- Interaction between the electronic viewfinder and touchscreen is not optimally solved.
- The autofocus of the GF3 seems a bit faster.

Overall, the G3 is a very good camera that certainly represents an advancement for G2.
Unfortunately, some features of the G2 were not adopted.
Especially sorely missed you the proximity sensor connected between the viewfinder and display changes.
There are of course a toggle button - but I find not so practical.
Operation via the Touchscrenn is for User praktich the already working with the Disply, for people who mainly
unfortunately unsuitable working with the viewfinder, because you constantly have to switch between the viewfinder and display. Here would be a few more control buttons,
one could safely practical also operate blind.
