Before we took the D10 with the first holiday, they had to be tested in the swimming pool. Result: absolutely satisfactory! The real test now followed in the Maldives, where we had the D10 several times a day while snorkeling in use. The D10 überzeute mainly by very fast rescue (less than 1/10 sec felt.), Minimal shutter release delay (about 1 sec. At the highest resolution and underwater program), as well as by the display, which even without a strong sunlight underwater clear and fast preview offered. Thanks to its compact design, the relatively large buttons and logical menus, the D10 is compact and very easy to operate, especially under water. The picture quality is under water at sufficient light from above good to brilliant. However, I do not compare the D10 also with high-end, or professional equipment. We had to compare an older Olympus with 4 MP and underwater case here, the difference was VERY clear. What the D10 unfortunately is constantly faced with problems is the automatic mode, especially without sufficient strong illumination. So you should better always choose the right program for every definable purposes. Overall, however, we are very pleased and wait rather left on the first problems in the form of leaks, or otherwise. Until then, we recommend the D10 primarily for snorkeling, the price falls anyway certainly.
