On the new album stuff has changed. First one is indeed taken again under fire,
but soon you realize that the former Emojunge Skrillex once again duly continue
has developed.
There are now also ragga vocals, balladesque, some cameos (including Kill The Noise and Ragga Twins)
90s retro Parts, early 80s Party HipHop reminiscence, and much more, which of course the Wiederhörwert
Album increased.
Musically so the table with lots of yummy stuff is covered.
Sonically, however, there is unfortunately something to complain about. The album was apparently produced for mobile speakers;
if you want to have the right bass, then you have to turn up the subwoofer already powerful.
The production is a bit unusual too loud, though not as bad as in some compressed colleagues, but
for more than 25 years listener it might be worth the MP3s lower by 3-4 decibels level what the listening experience
makes much more pleasant.
Again back to the music: This time Skrillex has built with some atmospheric parts, now the foot is often
time taken by the gas.
Example song: Ease My Mind - Change almost here already from schlager like moments with midtempo electro and Footwork HiHat.
Stranger - a Synthpopballade grows with nervous Footwork bass drum to be runtergepitcht at once to slow trap.
Fire Away - and again hides (typical of Skrillex) Message behind a dark sugar sweet sounds, from chill-without bass drum.
Conclusion, a great album, in which Skrillex shows that he can do more than heavy metal electronics to rip us relish delicious to the ear.
The coming here even before, but much dose. For this, he expanded its spectrum of sounds and shows us that much more it can do.
The new Savant oracle is still horny, but the differences are then at a high level.
Actually Savant and Skrillex have much in common; among others, the annoying sounds between kindergarten through, but if you can tolerate them, then
really waits beautifully composed and partly complex music on the phone, in which he can still discover new details even after repeated listening.
(Personally, I think yes, that Skrillex these cheap 90-mass techno sounds used in some kind of punk attitude out, just to get people to annoy a bit;))
"Only" 4 stars because of the sound and because the next album will be even more secure.
