Works beautifully under Linux. However, this requires a newer version of the package usb_modeswitch (or tinkering something in itself needs only a corresponding configuration entry for the stick, then it also runs on older versions of the software - in this case can be based on the Stick E353, in which the same Chipset is installed and for which one easily finds online data).
The delivery took a bit, but the product itself does exactly what it should.
