Atari Teenage Riot were pretty much the best because most innovative thing I've seen in the last 10 years in the techno-electro music scene. Their music is, roughly described, a collection of digital toughest, deafening sounds with distorted beyond recognition guitars a la Slayer and Sodom. Seasoned all by loud shouts. Together the results in an acoustic bombs, whose anger and aggression crashes hearing like a stick in front of the skull. Noise - albeit just good and seductively aggressive. ATR was for me the beginning of an own music style, finally snappy, raw, unortodox. Which is precisely what has this effeminate music scene so much missing. A healthy kick in the ass of the music industry and the Germany-looking-the-superstar-demented nation.
