Straight from the start, I have no idea how this processor behaves in games. I play occasionally times Age of Empires 3 ..... but I think it works even in DOS mode :-) But as a passionate photographer and videographer, I treated myself to this conversion. My first impression in Photoshop CS6 with 30 MB RAW files was ..... well .... eh not bad. After that I came out, that you can set the number of cores used and the size of memory used in CS6 and Photomatix. Since I had a huge AHA experience ..... so sauschnell can that be. With my old Athlon 6000+ HDR makeover from 3 shots of a full frame camera in Photomatix lasted about a cigarette length ..... with this processor for a few seconds. Photoshop works completely liquid. The daily tasks in Windows go without the hourglass to see. You have to know what you buy a processor halt. For photo and video editing, I can recommend it without reservation.
