This will work:
- The microphone can be defined in the system settings as an audio source and is also recognized by all tested programs & games.
- The mechanical mute switch on the wired remote control also works.
- The headphones are recognized by the system settings as stereo speakers
- The headphones from Audio MIDI Setup detected (in Utilities) than 5.1 system! A Sound Test in the audio setup can also appeal to all speakers individually (front L, front R, center, rear L, rear R and subwoofer).
- Games & programs that 5.1 surround on the Mac support (eg Starcraft II) work, but ....
The following will NOT work:
The volume control on the cable remote control (except for the front volume control) do not function. Also, the controller identified as "Master" has no function. Bass and rear are in video players such as VLC etc. overrides hopeless and can not be tamed even by software. Changing the system volume also affects only the front speakers.
