I have by some acquaintances heard that they are very disappointed by the concert tour of Neil Young were (unfortunately I could not get hold more map) because he played for the most part exclusively new material. But this new material, "Greendale", belongs to the best that Neil Young has been producing long and recorded with his longtime backing band Crazy Horse. In 10 songs he sings and talks about the Greens, who live in on a ranch outside of Greendale. The fate of all family members is described in impressive pieces of music in which Neil Young rarely sounded so fresh and relaxed. But not that this would be the last: for this magnificent recording, the old master with a bonus DVD pushes with a "Greendale" -Akustikkonzert, which was recorded in Dublin, afterwards. So overall a 180min (80min CD, DVD 100min) enjoyment, from which one no longer gets away! A must for every Neil Young lovers and for everyone else, definitely recommended.
