Refreshingly progressive

The still very unusual wiedersprüchlich reviews here have made me curious. The album was a long time on my wish list and now I am glad I am for the purchase (and not on Amazon, because here in my opinion is the price currently too expensive) decided.

What nowadays often the banner "progressive" missed get is not understandable for me. Groups like Transatlantic or Dream Theater persist in creative standstill, innovative and surprisingly the current discs are not anyway. Many speak of the so-called Trade Marks, the brand recognition of a tape. However, this is only partially correct. When you see which artists are involved in such albums, so you'd expect something more creative - at least I feel that way.

Life Signs are a more than welcome change in the All kinds of daily prog releases. The sound collages that come here to my ears, are initially not so transparent. Initially, I was only with the opener "Lighthouse" warm. Although the majority of the disc moves in the harmonic melodic midtempo range, develop - especially the longer pieces - only after repeated listening to a very special magic.
