Longer we have wrestled with the choice of the baby monitor with us: it must really be one with sensor mats or does it also the cheaper option without !?
Ultimately, the positive experience of two different families have us convinced the Angelcare baby monitor to purchase with sensor mats. Their main argument was that a peaceful sleep at the latest after the eviction of the child into his own room.

The baby monitor can be easily and quickly build.
The sender also has a blue night light and is connected via network operation. The receiver has a charging station and can be operated by battery charging over, but also directly to the charging station. The battery lasts for several days. The reception will be trouble on several floors or rooms.
To use the sensor mats, you need a board in the size of the mattress, which is placed between slats and mattress. On this, the two sensor mats are distributed.

We have the baby monitor incl. The sensor mats (and blue night light) used since the 6th week of life of our child when we dislodged it from the double bed in his own bed. So we could the rest of the evening after our child in bed was cozy to spend one floor down in the living room and have yet noticed when our little noise gave of himself.
The recipient of the baby monitor can be programmed so that you can either transfer the noise or the sensor mats activated. For the latter, there are 2 ways in which I prefer the first clear silent indicator of a beating pendulum (as long as movements are recorded) or the same version with sound at each pendulum (I personally find but very annoying).
During the night we started the sensor mats. So we had, compared to many young parents of our circle, never fear that our baby has stopped breathing, because we knew that the baby monitor would have chipped in case of lack of movement after 20 seconds. That this is the case, we saw pretty quickly as we initially forgetting to turn off the sensor mats before we took our kids out of bed. The sensor mats suggest definitely to that is not to be missed.
