Allen, who love the music of REM, this DVD-Audio is nevertheless warmly recommended. The See by title in the 5.1 to hear surround sound gives the music a slightly different dimension. The recordings are compressed lossless. The resolution has 24 bits, the sampling frequency 96kHz (CD known 16 bit, 44.1 kHz. The music is distributed on 6 discrete channels. The surround sound is different clearly perceptible depending on the title. The sound potential of DVD-Audio is thus the CD theoretically superior.
Of course corresponding thereto equiptment needed (Mehrkanalverstärker- or receiver, 5 speakers + subwoofer and of course, a DVD player, which can also play DVD-Audio). Modern Blu Ray player as the universal Denon DBP-1611UD Denon DBP-2012UD or play from all formats (CD, DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, Blu Ray, SACD).
For those who have the necessary technical equipment, worth buying this DVD-Audio. For all other of the purchase of the normal audio CD is sufficient. The purists, the only mono or stereo out of the question, should stay away from this disc.
