Missing only Tony Joe White on this disc "Tribute". I lean toward the tracks where voice mimic the master (Clapton on "The Breeze" Petty on "RnR Records Knopfler and the sumptuous" Someday ") rather than for personal versions (Willie Nelson) that sound too country. I wish also that Clapton "off" a bit more on solos (as he had done in his time on "Cocaine" and "After MIDInight"), but he wanted to respect the original formats JJ (c 'ie usually below 3 minutes). Nevertheless Clapton sounds much better than his last two discs and one still performs better listen to this tribute that he and Knopfler borrowed, especially vocally, to the hermit Tulsa.
RIP Guitar Man. We already miss your laid back tunes.
