Greatest Hits 2 (2010 Remaster) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

20 years after the first publication of the second Queen "Greatest Hits II" - album published in 2011 now the remastered version under the new record label Universal. The present unchanged tracklist represents the successful single productions of years 1981 to 1991 the British rock band.

The following list so that clarify again:

1981: Under Pressure with David Bowie

1984: Radio Ga Ga, I Want To Break Free, It's A Hard Life, Hammer To Fall

1985 One Vision

1986: A Kind Of Magic, Who Wants To Live Forever, Friends Will Be Friends

1989: I Want It All, Breakthru, The Miracle, The Invisible Man,

1991: Innuendo, Headlong, I'm Going Slightly Mad, The Show Must Go On

The order of songs is not chronologically ascending but mixed. That does not bother listening to the songs but not, but it shows again your musical spectrum. Although some music critics accused the band drifting into the pop music, it remains, in my opinion anyway all milestones of rock history.

With Freddy Mercury died one of the best British rock singers of all time. Up to his death Queen was one of the most successful British bands. All acquaintances is represented. From pressed presented Under Pressure with David Bowie on the sing-along anthem Radio Ga Ga, the catchy I Want To Break Free, the visionary One Vision, the cult hit A Kind of Magic or the bombastic acting Who Wants To Live Forever. From polyphonic singing I Want It All, over the intereressant sung title The Invisible Man, the dynamic Headlong to Freddie Mercury's legacy - The Show Must Go On.

The digital Klangremastering the title has succeeded in my opinion, the quality of the songs is dynamic and clear, that is so ok Throws your old CD away, this is much better.

In the current edition of the CD jewel case is an 24-page booklet. On page 2, the title directory is listed (but without specifying the playing time) and information on the production. On page 3 to 17 and 19 to 21, there are photos of the band. Then we here every single presented with Cover and English accompanying text. On the back of the booklet the indication to the website.

It is Universal finally time managed to spendieren the disc CD text. :-)

A successful continuation of the Greatest Hits I lost nothing timeless in their charm and charisma. A consistently successful musical selection of the second creative period of the band. I can recommend as before.
