Review LG 47LM640S

I was also looking for a large screen TV (42-50 inches). I chose for this TV because it was on sale on Amazon and the reviews are very positive. What is, however, also struck me: LG, I have found no data on the TV.

What I like about the TV?
1. Visually, the TV before her a lot. He has no matte panel (as opposed to, for example, Toshiba), but the Panel does not reflect with me. When the TV is off, you can see yourself in it, but subjectively I would think that the mirror effect is many times less pronounced than that of a new Samsung LED TV. Since there by myself so definitely before a star.
2. The image of a BluRay playback is excellent. That's all I need to say about it. There are also still lots of settings (but unfortunately with no real information about what they do. Do I have to test or check the Internet).

1. I never really watch TV, only DVDs or BluRay. Still, I wanted the SD picture (cable reception) test times. The input signal is with me already not very good, so the image is also just average. I could picture but with 2 other Samsung TVs (37 "and 40") comparative directly with me and since making the Samsung TV a much better impression. Apparently, the image can then improve again, or simply extrapolate only better. The LG intersects here with a maximum of "satisfactory" from. That's why even a star deduction.
2. The DVD playback picture you have to get set properly, otherwise it seems to me as if it were a little "grieselig". This really is however to the settings. You have to play around a little and adjust the image to its wishes. Then the picture really very pleasant and clean.

Summary:
If a TV for BluRay or HD playback searched, the TV must also be quite large and also external hard drives (up to 2TB) DVDs and BluRays different formats can play, then this TV is the right person. WiFi and 3D there also. Best!
However, a television for "normal" television without HD wanted, then there are better.

Change in 5 stars because ... I was so stupid, and have taken the wrong settings for the SD TV. Instead of cable DTV to select and start a search there, I used a cable TV. The quality is much higher in DTV. And you can see that then. Do not know why the TV standard only makes a search in the cable TV sequences and not even with cable DTV. Well, the quality of SD television but can now easily keep with the Samsung TV. That is why the appreciation.
