And the songs are not built particularly demanding in itself, but the sound was just new. The "times quiet, sometimes loud" principle, how to get it today actually constantly heard on the radio, has gone out of this album. Mixed with the rough energy of punk, the Nirvana probably wanted to belong rather, they managed to detach the Hairspray-Metal 80 and create a new form of the mainstream.
Even though I can usually do anything with music of this variety, so nevermind is still just different. The songs were recorded with an energy as they have a few bands. And to put it in a banal way: the music sounds just simply great!
The alternation of loud and quiet passages in the songs is available in almost every song, making the songs varied and by the simplicity of these are maintained in memory. This principle reached its zenith, which was in my opinion, still not really achieved much less surpassed in "Smells Like Teen Spirit".
Simply a great song, no ifs or buts!
But know to convince the other songs. Songs like "In Bloom," "Lithium" or "On a Plain" are just great and are easy to use in any situation. Above all, almost depressed, "Come As You Are" has it done to me besides the top hit.
Total remains to say that Nevermind is the best album in the unfortunately short career Nirvana, which everyone should have in his record collection. An absolute classic and milestone!
