3TB hard drive for a great price (119Euro), but unfortunately a hard drive with outdated firmware installed faulty:
(-) Seagate ST3000DM001-9YN166 with old firmware CC4B (-) Windows backups do not run stable (times it goes, sometimes not) (-) No support, no answer, poor as it gets
(+) Is fast the plate
The hard drive needs the manufacturer Seagate firmware update that can not be carried out without loss of warranty. Trek goals support and Seagate support did not respond to requests.
Therefore, I rate the hard drive with 2 stars.
To update the errored old firmware, the drive must be attached to the SATA interface. The case would have to be opened to take out the plate. Here, the warranty seal would be destroyed. That is no more and no Trekstor warranty Seagate warranty (as OEM equipment).
I wonder why the hard drive to return. The support services of both companies (Trek goals and Seagate) I find bad.
Postscript, after 10 attempts to achieve something at Trek goals support, I gave up. Therefore, only 1 star, no support would not even deserve to.
