The selection is a solid novel, in which falling pĆ¢moisson!
This novel deals with America, a Five - ie the bottom of the scale of the company, but not too low either, there are 8 castes - 16, which has an almost similar age with prince of the country - Maxon. To find a princess, IlleĆ - the new name of the United States after World War IV, and its acquisition by China - is organizing a selection: 35 country girls are drawn and moved into the Royal Palace, in order to better acquainted with the Prince, who will choose one he married.
It is not surprising that America is one of 35 selected. But there is a concern: the heart of America is already taken by Aspen - a six.
Despite the appearance a little "nian nian," of the plot, the love-triangle, the reality TV aspect, the story is frankly brilliant, just like the characters. I actually hooked from beginning to end.
I also emphasize the fact that I loved this dystopia is not as "black" as most other dystopias - Divergent, Delirium, Legend ... no combat, this novel is quiet and smooth. Kiera Cass leaves us no time to get bored: Can not let go of the book Eye!
America is a very endearing heroine, generous, emotional, keeps feet on the ground and is reflected. If there is indeed a kind of heroine who gets on my nerves, it is those who do not think - or worse, one that reflected three take ages, and make the wrong decision. None of that here!
I totally understand how it operates, and I really feel close to her, suddenly! * Super weird *
On the side of his family, his mother was a little typed on the nerves, although its reactions are completely understandable too!
Marlee - the friend of America - is just great, its history is not thorough enough for my taste, I hope we will learn a little safer in future volumes it :)
Obviously, I hated Celeste, his rotten name, and his bitch of ways. Maxon Why not open your eyes !! It stinks slut full nose !! His behavior may be a bit too exaggerated.
The contenders of America:
Aspen has quickly endearing, trying to do the best for those around him. I understood most of its decisions, except that of having another girl on his arm. So, I was not at all of Team Aspen. Still, I was excited for his return, just to add a little spice to the story, and in the more than friendly relationship-America Maxon. Especially it does not plan to leave America spinning in the arms of the Prince.
I hope that future volumes will explain its decisions that have disappointed me.
So I Maxon Team - who "speaks like a book" - even if he sometimes upset. Does he really kissed Natalie ?? D:
The Prince is adorable with those around him, and is just as endearing Aspen. I admit that its proximity to the other girls made me a little shit. But as Prince - in search of a soul mate, and more - it is his duty not? He has no choice, right ??
It seems obvious to me that America must end with Maxon Maxon and that must end with America. Not you?
I liked the way side, he is slightly in this book than in most others. Probably because it matters a lot, as perhaps future princess?
Finally, it is the "little things" that this book different from others who have attracted me most, and I confess that this novel is a big favorite, and that I long to read more! The Selection, Volume 2: The Elite
