"Roses In Asphalt" was my entry Album ...

... When it comes to Wolf Maahn. Did it '93 almost incidentally discovered during CD Browse a well-stocked record store Grazer and short reingehört times. Have since Wolf Maahn fan and I have gradually bought or ordered to all albums.
In Austria it is nunmal unfortunately so that now for decades German rock is mainly associated with the name "GRÖNEMEYER"; so you have with us have been very fortunate to discover this kind of music, because you know him as well as not with us. I find that unfortunate, since Wolf Maahns music is much more interesting, edgy and earthy, and he moreover also has the much better texts.
As for this new edition of "Roses in the asphalt," I can only give my predecessor in law review. The individual songs are much better mixed, especially in the old version were missing not only all 7 songs, but also some tracks with the other 13 titles were also saved. So this new version also includes some of Wolf's very great numbers from the early eighties, such as "NICARAGUA" that have become rarities status.
With all this praise I can this album but a little criticism not spare: The Vocal and Choral deposits with the audience a few songs are quite protracted. Certainly, and that is definitely out of the question, has exactly this creates an insanely cool live atmosphere, for those who have been at that time in the middle. But if you listen to these recordings at home in the living room, then affects the whole very lengthy. "THE HOBBY FREUD" thus becomes the most annoying number on this album.
But all in all it's a great album and it's a shame that there are so few of this variety.
