Forewarned of various reviews and forum entries, I have the adventure "DELL drivers looking for something that is not intended for this notebook" daring. In fact, I've downloaded a lot of drivers and "Dell Wireless Manager" software, extracted driver, played around, while semi-desperate, only to discover at the end that the WWAN card was disabled in the BIOS ;-) Despite deactivation it is the notebook that is still recognized and flawlessly installed, only the dialing attempt simply aborts. For this reason, I can now no longer say which driver combination worked in the end. GPS incidentally not indicate skin, but unfortunately we read everywhere.
Conclusion: WWAN 5530 work on a Dell Latitude D430 with Windows7 32bit - assuming they are enabled in the BIOS also (below under "Wireless").
