This episode is undoubtedly one of the ten best in the series. Joss Whedon was able to realize his dream, because wished make a musical episode since the beginning of the series, and all stakeholders have provided an absolutely outstanding job, knowing that not everyone has an innate talent for singing and dancing . When you see the result, it really is stunning. Of course, James Marsters singing perfectly, but we know that music is one of his great passions, he had already sung in a group. A great discovery was the enchanting voice of Amber Benson. As for Sarah Michelle Gellar, she won the award from that without any doubt the most work. I have no particular talent for singing either and I would not be able to achieve what she did. Several months of training for all actors and hours of song and dance to achieve the end result, counting the enormous stress felt that some cast members, like Alyson Hannigan and Sarah Michelle Gellar.
The best songs are to my taste "Going Through the Motions", "Rest in Peace", "Under Your Spell", "Walk Through the Fire" and "Something to Sing About". I often sing only the parts of Buffy on "Walk Through The Fire" and "Something to Sing About".
I saw the episode for the first time in his very first broadcast in France, so in VF. I moderately enjoyed and I really do not understand the enthusiasm around this episode regarded by many as one of the best. It is only by growing up and watching my favorite series in VO I enjoyed this episode at fair value. If you know another fan who continues to watch the series in VF but understands English, offer to this album, it will convince probably put themselves in the VO and to better enjoy this wonderful series!
