I bought two of these boards in March 2011 and had nothing to go wrong with the view of brand goods. These boards I built my, also purchased in March 2011, Qnap Turbo NAS TS-210 (it runs perfectly), where they kept me until July of this year in RAID1 faithful service. Then the first plate adopted with a hardware defect, and I thought, ok may indeed times. So have an identical plate neugekauft, built and finished. But when now the day before yesterday announced the second (older plate from 2011) with 66 bad blocks, I was really disappointed. I mean hey, I have from the 2TB just nearly 300GB in use. Use is here: take time to backup various data, photos and important documents and more. So that they are kept risikominimierter in one place. The NAS drives in sleep mode if I do not use it. Since I now my whole system re-roofed and became involved with the profound plates, I realized that probably the Caviar GREEN- series for the NAS operating were not particularly useful. Therefore, I certainly also applies somewhat self-blame. Thus, the / the inclined LeserInn not making the same "mistake" is here Strongly Cautioned: > Caviar Green - only for desktop operating (ie installation in a conventional PC under normal use, not for NAS suitable !!!) > RED-Line - for NAS operation to 2 or 3 panels > BLACK-Line - for demanding PC use away from all Normalo Users > ENTERPRISE-Line - for more than 2 or 3 disks in the RAID array a backup server of a small or medium-sized company to use. With this knowledge I now have two RED-Line-plates and a more powerful Qnap TS-221 ordered me to not again have to swap the disks in the hope in 3 years.
