The setup is easy to have an address in the browser you will be guided through the procedure. However, it has surprised me that the menu is only in English, while the setup still worked in German. Alternatively, you can probably use an app, but we did not make. The router menu is not so very clearly and provides a lot of settings that can be quite overwhelming a layman. But the essential functions / settings accepts the router itself. The guide is quite detailed and can help further. The coupling of other devices via Wi-Fi worked well, you only need an access code, which is included on a map as well as glued to the device - you can create your own him. Too bad when our predecessor Belkin could stow the code card in the base, so could not run the risk of you to move the map. Which is missing here.
The connection speed is very good and stable. The firmware update, which can be started from the menu, also went smoothly. Just a pity that so far no German language pack for the translation of the menu is available. Unlike, for example, with our predecessors, there are no management software that runs in the background. While this certainly makes sense to represent any unnecessary burden on the system, but was characterized pointed illustrative problems. But ultimately we rarely moved so slightly on the router. While the router is not longer connected to devices, seems to switch off the power (lamp lights up yellow) if you have not even turned off the router. When accessing the connection is then immediately restored.
All in all, a good device, which provides a useful extension via the USB port. Refreshing also that you can not only - referenced downloads, but the essentials are included - as is often the case today. A language pack would be desirable to provide a lay-friendly menu also.
