The story is relatively "entertaining" but rather flat and is not even begin to serve up some cleverly thought out stories of the previous parts. What is it about in Homecoming was already described in other reviews yes.
The graphics are just fine, but it is not really on the cutting edge. One may also enjoy the one or other stuttering, and adjust graphic errors (despite high-end PC)
The sound and soundtrack by Akira Yamaoka and therefore ingenious, but much too good for the game. The sound problems described by others I had, however, not so violent and disruptive, but rather inconspicuous.
The control system is in my opinion quite lernungsintensiv and depends and in combat frustrating way, what the level of difficulty increases and leads to many "trail and error" passages (to be corrosive due to the extremely rare storage capabilities). For this I must however say that I very rarely at the PC games which has made more difficult my taxes.
(As a little note in passing, a Steam account you must develop in order to play the game, which is also extremely annoying.)
All in all, pretty disappointed the game and that was supposed to go every so the SH 1 - 3 (or 4) has played. The game copied in many places the film (and only bad), one might almost say it looks like a movie game. For fans of actionlastigem mainstream Ami horror the game may be fun, but Silent Hill who knows and appreciates, should stay away from Homecoming.
