It seems to me that, as Canadians have here the perfect mix of the sophisticated, vibrant texts of Vörgängers "Simple Plan" with the punk sound of their second album "Still Not Getting Any ..." combined. And what has come of it, is the best album of the band.
Specifically, this means the following:
The entrance to the album with "You suck at love" is just a good start. Funny content, musically packaged well and just a beautiful track for the start of the disk. Then on it goes with "Can not Keep My Hands Off You", a collaboration with the artist Rivers Cuomo. The single was released in Canada already as the first single and can fully in the style of "Take My Hand" convince. The first single "Jet Lag" feat. Natasha Bedingfield is a catchy tune that goes into the ear immediately and there also remain. "Loser of the Year" on the other hand is a punk, funny anthem in the vein of "God must hate me". A fall to the ancient roots of the band.
The only weaker single on the album is "Anywhere else but here." A track of so-so, but not aufällt broadly Album.
In addition to the tracks with K'naan (a Party Summer Good Laune- song of the first category), and "Freaking Me Out," a danceable number with nice electronic beat, there are also some beautiful ballads. "Gone to soon" is reminiscent of "Save you" voom previous album.
The highlight of the album, however, is for me, "Last One Standing". The track is an up-power number with ingenious Beat and simply much rhythm. For me absolutely the song on the album!
But all in all white album "Get Your Heart on" to convince to full line. An album that has to be heard, not only if you're a fan of Simple Plan. Simple Plan show with this album, how creative even after 10 years of band history, you can still be. We must look forward to the next tour because of eigenere experience I can say that Simple Plan are even better live than on CD.
