To solve this problem I ordered the Huawei E5331. It is slightly smaller than a modern phone and considerably lighter. For the first test, I tested my SIM card of network Club. Power Club uses the O2 network, which is expanded only very weakly at my residence and in the vicinity.
SIM card inserted, turned on the device and connect to the hotspot built (the SSID and WPA passphrase are on the inside of the lid). Since my network Club SIM has no PIN, I had an immediate Internet access.
According to Speedtest.net, the values were remarkably well: Ping 100ms, Download 1.8 Mbit / s, upload 1.2 Mbit / s
Meanwhile I run it with a SIM card from ALDI-Talk (E-Plus network). This network is much better developed in my environment and is confirmed by the values of Speedtest.net:
Ping: 45ms, Download: 8.3 Mbit / s, upload: 2.4 Mbit / s
On the device itself there are 4 multi-color LEDs: mobile, wireless, battery, SMS. They are added after a short time in power save mode and it flashes only occasionally, the battery LED lights up green.
Then I called the web interface of the device (192.168.1.1):
It is designed very clear and easy to operate flawlessly without reading the instructions provided.
However, it I noticed that the signal strength indicator in 3G mode has a small mistake, but - I think - is not so bad: There is either no reception or full reception display. But always 3G should be read in the display and the Internet access works well.
The battery life is really good - but I have ordered me just in case a second battery, if the unit but should ever make between limp.
The integrated power saving mode, however, I consider pointless. According to default, the wireless module will turn off after a quarter of an hour. In my opinion, should the appliance either switched on or off to be, otherwise still power is used to maintain an unused cellular connection.
I am very satisfied with the device, about the small software errors can be overlooked - he has no effect on the function of the device. If it should eventually give up the ghost, I would buy it again.
