I bought two of these fans now (for the home and the workplace). They are sufficiently quiet and unobtrusive, but potently enough. For the desktop, the devices are in the summer months when it is time for really hot, optimally. One need have no fear that the documents be blown away by the desk, the noise caused me makes at least nothing out, and you can also make calls while without the conversation being affected. If you do not need the fan, you can easily stow it somewhere. The fan can be easily pivoted about a horizontal axis in order to direct the air flow to the correct location. Power levels are not adjustable, but you can get over. A plus point is definitely the separate on / off switch at the back on the unit. I can not say anything to which I have the equipment far enough on the shelf. For the price, the product is in any case highly recommended.
