The transmission speed is quite high per USB3. The hard drive is in summer temperatures in continuous operation already quite warm. She is not the slightest, though not too loud. I think she has a well-balanced price-performance ratio. The cable from the supplied AC adapter is quite short. Here TrekStor seems to save some on the cable material. That's my fourth external hard drive from TrekStor. There was even quieter models with longer cables. Since the hard drive is doing only times what it should, I give 4 out of 5 stars from the overall evaluation. One point deduction for operating noise, heat generation and short power supply cord.
The shipment by Amazon.com took place without any additional padding. The manufacturer packaging was simply plugged into another carton. The hard drive in a box is ajar directly to a cardboard wall to show through a window the color of the housing. There is indeed the hard drive in black and silver. The hard drive seems to have but the transport survived because they worked for the setup process immediately. I know other shippers who ship much less sensitive products with cushioning material. Otherwise, I've always been satisfied with Amazon.com shipping. Here at a hard drive I would have liked a little more careful packaging.
