Unlike many other receivers the automatic software update at the beginning of works without problems and otherwise there is nothing to criticize. I have read of problems, that there was a crash. I had with my previous models, but with the DCR9000 there is so far no problems. The unit is very quiet. Of course I also have the HD channels from Premiere (otherwise I would not need the receiver yes ...) and since it is possible that HD movie at the beginning no picture.
But that has to do with a simplem setting that is explained quite thick in the Philips manual. (You have to change DVI)
The HD channels are of course a dream. But the SD programs I find now sharper than before ... obs is the HDMI connection?
What I have however not yet checked, is as follows:
One can (ie for TV, DVD and other) using the remote control as a universal service. The work has not yet, but that's really not so important. You can arrange the programs themselves and you do not need and leave out .. if I notice something negative, I'm going to say about it. So: If you take the choice of the Humax HD device and the DCR 9000, then the Philips!
