Although its predecessor was successful, "prodigies", Kunze second poporientiertes album is again a notch. Even the title song is a lyrical masterpiece connected with snappier feel-good music, good contrast to the content. "The universe is German" suggests the same line. "With body and soul" and "Mabel" were Kunzes most famous songs on this album. The fifth song "cadaver Star" is one of his absolute mastery. Pity the narration "Man and His Dog" is missing as an introduction, it would be clear that this is about lebensverachtende animal experiments (Bundeswehr). The next songs all offer sophisticated pop to the best poetry. The album closes with "Need You Now", a most beautiful of HRKs piano ballads. With this album occupies Kunze as well he feels in the pop world, confirmed at the same time that you still can deliver ambitious lyrics.
