I bought back then to show the album and have it still today. Whether it rotates very often in my CD player? No. This is however rather the fact that there are a lot of bands, artists, performers, I the Cure against simply prefer. Anyway, before anything that has to do with Guns n 'Roses and the solo projects of the Gunners. Amongst other things.
Cure are just not for just so "in between". Cure was always not quite light food, you had to endure a certain amount of familiarization and then could they still do not listen indefinitely. Often the music is a little bit disappointing and pulled a like a little bit down. The album "Wish", however, was already a first step in the right direction: optimism, exactly !! Therefore, my review of "Wish" with 4 stars is out well.
And this album is where the optimistic trend (at least melodically) continues, it also acts as a whole very bright and mainstream.
My Anspieltipps:
- Want
- Club America (which is such a beautiful, catchy, radio-compatible song; but also with much fuss; I like him !!)
- Jupiter Crash (balladesque)
- Round & Round & Round (cheerful, peppy)
The album is from 1996 and I think it fits well into the action today musically. As I read in a reviewer's headline here on the site: "An underrated gem". That's right, can agree. It is next to "Wish" my favorite Cure album. In addition, Roberts vote yes now unmistakable. Well done!!
