Pro:
- Feels good, valent impression
- Good pressure point
- Transporting perfect size / good compromise for while just write yet large enough for liquid, with a few limitations (familiarization period required Himself had big hands!)
- Battery (included) via USB cable loaded
- On / Off switch
- On the computer keyboard is functioning, with no restrictions as any other
Cons:
- Only a shift to the left (after settling perfectly acceptable because you have to tap Shift only once and then additional letter is capitalized -> no hold the Shift needed)
- Only one control button right
- To connect one needs always a thin needle to visualize the keyboard
- Internal battery
Neutral:
- No perfect connectivity to widespread Android system, but more than acceptable (indeed, the keyboard itself not help it)
- Battery life may I place only under neutral as I only use the keyboard one week. Did they but have never loaded. Useful life of roughly maybe 15-20 hours.
Installation on mobile phone with Android 2.3.3:
1. Connecting to also even without having app, but without accents and with many limitations which the characters As (keyboard using a thin needle or similar make visible -> on the right side above the small hole).
2. Download and install BlueKeyboardJP and Blueinput, as already mentioned in another recession.
3. Confirmation of the two apps with language and text input.
4. BlueKeyboardJP the keypad call (here is possible only under Settings QWERTY). About Blueinput also seek the keyboard. A connection has not been possible for me, but it worked anyway -> Settings under German keyboard layout Select
5. Now select only BlueKeyboardJP input method and off you go. (Can be used in any input field with a long press on the entry field to be changed)
Notes for use with Android:
- QWERTY layout
- Most of the buttons function as they should, but often also try asking for example ";" only works with Alt Gr.
- BlueKeyboardJP separates again the connection if you are not located in an input field (to save power) (see Edit!)
- High power consumption by Bluetooth, Google Docs and Co. - saving> About "End" while writing breaks off the screen to power (see Edit!)
- I need to decouple before using the keyboard completely and re-connect again
- Word recognition so far I could not exhibit
- After connecting the keyboard cursor in the middle of the screen, often remains even after separation
Conclusion:
Despite some small limitations I am fully satisfied with the use in conjunction with Android. After all, the main purpose of the keyboard is typing longer texts. And this purpose they met very well. And as a normal keyboard with coupling to the computer anyway.
Edit (11/21/11):
Current:
I suspect the high power consumption was caused mainly by Google Docs (possibly by constantly save the web ?!). Did Google Docs by NoteSync (would cost a fee, with synchronized Docs) replaced and now the mobile phone is neither warm nor is the power consumption is extremely high. If you want more features you should look for a comprehensive Office program.
BlueKeyboardJP Pro:
In addition, I bought BlueKeyboardJP Pro. Without the advertising is more space on the screen and it connects and disconnects not permanent, but can also be located at the aforementioned NoteSync.
