First, because of the menu style (the bright red loading screen, for example), but also from her feel, you find yourself actually reminds some older titles to ID Software.
The negative is that the graphics, for PS4 conditions (!!!) absolutely underground fails. The textures are blurred, pixelated edges and the entire color scheme and coordination of elements looks for my taste again a corner worse than the title Doom 3 for the PC, which is at least 10 years!
Also the sound can me absolutely not convinced of the quality, the voices, the effect quality as the shot noise. Sure, maybe it should be so that the weapons as of mid 90 Games sound (after plastic gun, instead of "metallic" as a threat) - I like it in this case, anyway.
Another point is the usability and the frustration factor. Now the control is absolutely not too complicated etc., nevertheless already annoying the tutorial. Part cliché, kinda boring but especially little accessible.
Even as an experienced gamer I am already died in the "Tutorial" and the first level a number of times - and the second-lightest on the level of difficulty!
If you in various tasks (Jump from X to Y with a sprint-jump) several times died in the tutorial in the game until you have understood then possibly the task, then I think that's bad. And that is in such a scope happens I honestly in a few games in the past such.
I was certainly frustrated and was about to throw my controller for the first time against the wall after 10 minutes. After a brief googling the solution of the point at which I was not getting anywhere, I had to literally read in various forums entries that I'm not the first order of the Controller would have thrown most like against the wall.
The game mechanics I found furthermore also rather weak - which was a Far Cry 3 better example to my world: "Open World", side quests, sneaking an important game element etc. - all this can be found in Wolfenstein: The New Order * not *!
But not the atmosphere last - to have already struggling relative to the beginning against giant robots in a sort of 'grouse-shooting "Personally, I found weak and the atmosphere is not conducive.
For lovers of classical ID Software Shooter Wolfenstein is perhaps worth a try. Otherwise I would advise of the game otherwise.
