Sound great, software well.

Among the most not yet been EXPORTED review points would you like since the installation in August 2012 3 Add for me very disturbing:

1) With USB playback (whether with or without banking) 1-2s forced break betw. The files. I had now expected no perfect gapless playback, but this is the nerve Hammer! Mixes which are present as split Einzelstuecke or live albums - therefore terribly. Especially at higher volumes, here's it may be sometimes embarrassing ...
One reason for me in mind to always seek a Austauschgeraet.

Lt. Alpine support can not be changed and no statement whether this will be reported in future devices. Generally, no software updates of HU unavailable.

2) Integiertes BT only allows the possibility of receiving calls, but not of refusing. So if you have an annoying caller who like to 10x consecutively sampled, helping either answer (which passed through his time .... required in Geraet snoring) and immediately hang up, or cellular phone off or log off / hire in BT. even HFP in BT disable. Great right?

3) title display, whether filename or by day, always begins after 5s - and this after each title change / jumping, or FFW. Trying times so a song quickly find the folder by skipping ... special where the scroll "speed" of this unit, you're at the filename / tag scrolling in the folders or in the phone book, as slow as a tractor rueberkommt on a main road. (My JVC KD-SH1000 was against it very quickly, and this anno 2006. I miss it ...)

The price of such as 'uncanny important' things such as volume level much longer after the change (10s?), Escapes any logic ...

Minor nerve stuff:

- 3 BT devices coupled, but as far as I know only one active to connect / use - here the competition with cheaper devices better (JVC eg 2x).
For this EDIT March 2015: Definitely only an active connection; Great! The 'feature' would have Alpine is accordingly as well as can save. The last used before switching off the device connection will be called in several paired & active BT present in the vehicle when switching devices. Especially after "Connect xyz" the power back forever in the BT device selection screen will switch instead eg to display the active sound source (back). (OMG - Software developers and their product managers stop ...)

- While software update for BT module available separately, but forced to Windows or Android 4.x with specific configurations for this update procedure to make it work (see Alpine extranet). No update via USB.

- AUX cable not included here. I let me now SUBSEQUENTLY place ... so that I can then use the Cowon-Media Player which gapless playback controls. ;-)

- APT-X for BT-Audio would be wonderful as codec - unfortunately only SBC (ie default) implements

Conclusion: sound really great, Software mittelpraechtig, UI at eg JVC much more intuitive, visually "more beautiful", and more responsive especially.

And the 350 Euro coins. Apropo, my very PERSONAL opinion to the trend of beauty expressions of other reviewers: "Real to high level complain" babbles Who here of probably switched recently from plants to correct HUs ... hello, we have 2014 (or 2012 in the market introduction) and when it comes to FW / SW are some manufacturers probably always on the same pitfalls of, or there is apparently learned very little as regards product development / positioning.

I'd quite like to be paid more if 50EUR more sophistication would be present!
