I first read The Witch's Daughter by the same author. This new novel is perhaps a notch below ... yet! The description of Welsh landscapes captivates us alone. The relationship between the heroine and her husband is also fascinating. Only the fantastic hand is a little more subtle and less caricatured than in the first novel. Very good reading time however.
