Too bad that the French singer Alizée with her 4th studio album album either in Germany or in France became very successful, it would have earned it definitely. For me "Une enfant du siècle" one (a child of the century) to the best albums of 2010! 10 beautiful light electropop pearls here presents us Alizée that are even compared by some with Goldfrapp in French. While yes many CDs are designed so that the strongest songs are placed at the beginning, that seems to be exactly the opposite in "Une enfant du siècle". The more you hear, the songs are better dester! The opening track "Eden, Eden" is the weakest song for me and also fits the least to the other. With "Grand Central" shows us Alizée the direction in which the album should go, namely electro. The title of the review is actually a quote from "Limelight" (Spotlight), the English title on the plate. "La Candida" (Naive) is a Spanish song, since Alizée 2007 became very successful in Mexico. "Les collines (Never Leave You)" was the first single, which is partly sung in English. "Les Collines" in German is called "the hill". Finally, my all time favorites come on the album: "A Coeur fendre" (To Heart tearing), "Une fille difficile" (A difficult girl) and "Mes fantômes" (My spirits), where I just can not get enough of me. Conclusion: Although this album had no commercial success, I hope that Alizée will release another album in this style, it is one that is now one of my favorite albums, and is much better than its predecessor "Psychédélices". 5 Stars!
