The Brother MFC-7440N is really a "Brother at your side" (or something like that writes the advertising). The installation - for Apple Macintosh - proved extremely easy. The faxing works immediately. Since the device on the network of 3 computers (2 of them wireless) is operated, at first I was a bit skeptical about whether the well is fine, but the machine does what it should: via software remote control the scan command will be given and the scans in color are relatively quickly created and properly for the device class. It is nice that the printer "is at the start" always relatively quickly. I have no complaints about this machine. For a private citizen, the device may be a little "overdressed", but I have "robust" search for many bankruptcies something.
Now, after nearly 3 1/2 years is working properly in our home office 1 plastic particles and a small spring are the last toner cartridge replacement come out with and since then the printer pulls white stripes. This did not change after replacing the drum unit. Too bad, the machine is obviously consumed. Something has jammed and is probably irreparably destroyed. I do not think I will repair the printer. However, there are few alternatives for my purposes, unfortunately!
