I bought the monitor at Eizo directly as trade unit and thus was again about 50 discount.
After a quick delivery, I could not wait to unpack the screen there.
Delivery
As already mentioned the Eizo Foris FS2333 äufiger offers an abundance of accompanying paraphernalia. Since we have a DVI cable, an audio cable, a cable holder, a remote control and a CD with accompanying software. To grant All in all a good package to a quick start working. An additional HDMI cable would indeed be the icing on the cake, but you can not have everything. Unfortunately, my exhibition equipment the remote control battery was empty, which made me a little hard the rest of the monitor.
Image Quality
At the very start of the Eizo had a somewhat peculiar display method. In dark image content, the brightness was also runtergeschraubt and increased in bright content. Why this is so, I could not tell me. As mentioned above, the remote control was empty, so I also could not make any settings.
After the installation of various additional programs of CD I finally came to the different modes of the screen (the eingestelllte was the Eco Mode) to try.
-sRGB mode: Here contents are displayed with a strong brightness and good contrast. Color-all is well matched. I would refer to as the default setting.
-Game Mode: In the Game Mode, a higher sharpness degree is the image given and generally increased the saturation and contrast. The Fürt unfortunately means that web sites or normal pictures look unrealistic.
-Cinema Mode: In this mode the picture is weichgeeichnet. Writings remain verschohnt sent by the soft calibration drying. For everyday use is not really recommended. Has in film usage but certainly its appeal.
-Paper Mode: A mode to make the user to read long texts as simple as possible. The overall brightness is slightly curbed and the whole picture gets a strong yellow tinge. This eyes are reading less strained than in an extreme black / white contrast between the print and background.
-Eco Fashion: beside the gamemode probably one of the key features of Eizo monitor. In this mode, the screen is probably consume as little power and to adapt to the situation. However, as described above, it can reduce the brightness in the wrong places. Possibly must be improved manually here.
All in all, the Eizo but a very good image and a visible improvement on my laptop screen. This should be used as well nciht really hide.
Multimedia
Connections offers the Eizo Foris plentiful. In addition to 2 HDMI ports, it offers still 1 DVI input and a VGA input and should therefore be prepared for all output devices. Gladly also several at once. By remote control or button directly on the display can be easily select the source.
Now to my opinion, to a very large deficit. The window viewing is praised by the manufacturer as a perfect output device for games and movies. Technically the picture is nothing to oppose, but which the Eizo delivers to sound ridiculous. The boxes are not very strong, bass is almost none available and at higher volumes (from Level 18 of 25 (screen configuration)) captures the tone to scratch. What has Eizo thinking is beyond me. Sure, I have not a devil sound expected, but at least my laptop, or my Nexus 7 (!) Would have had to outdo. I consider myself to buy an additional audio output at this point forced. Too bad that the monitor has tasted the 5th star.
Design
The look is again well done. The design is simple and funktionial. The carrying device at the back falls on any path but is quite handy.
Conclusion
The monitor is a real gem for the price. Except for the sound can not be faulted. I hope for a long time with the device to be able to have fun (Warranty In 5 years with Eizo this should not be a problem). If he then nevertheless times faded away I'm looking forward to his successor. Then VLT. the Foris SF2337 / 2339)
